At the International Aerospace Exhibition (ILA) in Berlin in June, MBDA presented its future cross-domain, role-based Remote Carrier Multidomain Multirole Effector (RCM²) at the ILA Berlin in June. The company has now also presented the first images of the planned applications.

According to MBDA, RCM² can be fired from combat and transport aircraft as well as from frigates and land vehicles. In addition to its wide range of applications, the effector is also designed for combat mass and should be effective at both short and long range.

RCM² should also have a loitering capability and be able to engage targets in environments without GPS reception. In principle, interactive command and control of the missile swarms can therefore be carried out by any operator connected to the network. The ability to use the remote carrier with multiple platforms means that it can also be used across different branches of the armed forces. In further expansion stages, RCM² will later also be able to acquire sensor-based reconnaissance and target data and thus provide real-time situation pictures.
