Saab has received an order from the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV) for the Sea Giraffe 1X radar system for the Swedish Navy. The order is worth just under 30 million euros and delivery is scheduled to take place between 2024 and 2026.

Sea Giraffe 1X is a radar with the ability to simultaneously detect, track and classify objects in the air and on the ground, including drones. The software-defined radar enables updates to counter new threats and is suitable for both smaller and larger vessels as well as autonomous ships.
