Tourniquets are a hot topic again: they save lives in traffic accidents, on the mountain or in military conflicts – if you know how to use them and make the right choice. In order to get an orientation on the market, we had three experts from Critical Knowledge test common “TQs” for Ranger Magazine (made by Militär Aktuell) for their practicality (-> To the large test overview).
Gen. 2 Metal Tourniquet
The Rhino Rescue Gen.2 Tourniquet Aluminum is almost identical in design to the CAT Gen7 in terms of construction. The striking differences – apart from the color – are the metal toggle, the time Velcro with imprint for documentation by the metal pin installed on the toggle and a coarser-meshed Velcro on the toggle holder. Otherwise, the almost identical design to the CAT Gen7 had the same advantages and disadvantages.
