Following the initial information this morning, Militär Aktuell has now been able to reveal another program highlight of “Airpower 2024” (-> current “Airpower” news) in experience: According to this, the expected 300,000 visitors can look forward to a solo display of an F-35 of the Vermont National Air Guard as an absolute highlight.
The appearance of the Lockheed Martin produced jet would not come as a complete surprise, as the Armed Forces have had a partnership with the Vermont National Guard for some time now. As part of this cooperation, several F-35s and a C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft from the Vermont National Air Guard visited Zeltweg last June (see video below), The US jets then trained together with the Eurofighters of the Austrian Armed Forces.
As Militär Aktuell reported earlier today, further highlights for the program on 6 and 7 September will be performances by the Patrulla Aguila with their Casa C-101 and, above all, the Patrouille Suisse with their Northrop F-5E Tiger II.
