The Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV) has signed a framework agreement with Swecon Anläggningsmaskiner AB, Volvo CE’s dealer in Sweden, for the procurement of wheel loaders and associated equipment for the entire Swedish Armed Forces. The seven-year agreement covers six different wheel loader models, L35 to L150, and has an estimated value of 102 million euros.
“The framework agreement between FMV and Swecon will lead to a broader and deeper cooperation between the parties, which will increase the security of supply for the Swedish Armed Forces in the long term,” said FMV project manager Linus Harenius. https://militaeraktuell.at/militaerhundezentrum-waechst-weiter-auf/ The wheel loader system is used throughout the Swedish Armed Forces and is part of logistics, field operations and airfield maintenance at all levels of readiness. The system performs all types of lifting work in connection with the transportation of pallets, such as ammunition and supplies. But wheel loaders are also used to clear snow from roads and airfields and to excavate gravel and earth as part of the Swedish Armed Forces’ operations.
