As part of the Czech-Ukrainian intergovernmental consultations, two subsidiaries of Colt CZ Group SE recently signed contracts with the Ukrainian defense industry (Ukroboronprom): On the one hand, Sellier & Bellot and Ukroboronprom agreed to cooperate in the production of several types of small-caliber ammunition in Ukraine; on the other hand, following the memorandum of understanding with Ukroboronprom, Česká zbrojovka signed a technology transfer agreement for the production of CZ Bren 2 rifles (-> CZ Bren 3 – newly presented at Eurosatory) in the Ukraine.
“We are honored to have been selected by the Ukrainian government to help build its production capacity for small-caliber ammunition according to NATO-standards on Ukrainian soil. Our contribution will focus on the supply of machines for ammunition production,” said Radek Musil, CEO of Sellier & Bellot. https://militaeraktuell.at/guaicurus-iveco-liefert-420-lmv-br-2-an-brasilien/ The Ukrainian Minister of Strategic Industries, Oleksandr Kamyshin, said: “The Czech Republic is one of our most active partners. We are grateful to the Czech people for their support and to Czech arms manufacturers for their trust (-> current news from the Ukraine war). I am confident that this cooperation will help not only to increase arms production in Ukraine, but also to deepen the integration of the Ukrainian defense industry into the NATO defense industry.” The foundation for these collaborations and projects was laid at the First International Defense Industry Forum (DFNC1), which took place in Kiev in September last year and was attended by more than 250 companies from more than 30 countries. This was a joint initiative of the Ukrainian Ministry of Strategic Industries, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
