“I would like to thank Brigadier Urrisk-Obertynski for taking on an important task – not only for posterity, but also for us. It is a huge amount of work to research and compile all of this and we now have the chance to pick up the books and see many things in Vienna with greater knowledge and with different eyes.” Vienna’s military commander, Brigadier General Kurt Wagner, also expressed his thanks: “The author has managed to top himself. At 488 pages, this very detailed book with its excellent pictures is also the most comprehensive in the series. I am particularly grateful that the 60-year history of the Vienna Military Command and the 340th anniversary of the Battle of Kahlenberg have been given special consideration.”
