Kärcher and Camp Supply International AS (CSI), a Norwegian supplier of container-based systems, have agreed to work even more closely together. Accordingly, Kärcher Futuretech GmbH will acquire further shares in the Norwegian manufacturer and thus achieve a majority shareholding.
The investment enables Kärcher Futuretech, as part of the Kärcher Group, to expand its field storage portfolio and strengthen CSI’s position. The brand, which is particularly well known in the Scandinavian market, focuses on high-quality special and functional containers for military requirements. CSI products are used in Kosovo, Afghanistan and Mali, among other places.
CSI and Kärcher Futuretech recently won a major contract for a large number of field camp containers in a highly competitive tender. The delivery includes high-quality and functional sanitary, laundry, waste water and detention containers.
As a result of the intensified cooperation, the companies expect a broader market presence with a significantly expanded product portfolio as well as synergies in sales, product management, development and production.
The headquarters of the Norwegian company CSI is located in Brevik, Norway. The company also has additional production facilities in Changzhou, China. CSI was founded in 2000.
