“The past and the present clearly show us that the military must be able to transport people and heavier cargo over longer distances. Evacuations from Afghanistan and Sudan are clear proof of this. I am therefore very pleased that we have succeeded in procuring aircraft for our air force that can perform these tasks,” said Defense Minister Jana Černochová. “This order from the Czech Republic, a NATO-member, is an invaluable vote of confidence in Embraer. It encourages us to use the best technology to provide our customers with the operational capabilities they need for the most demanding missions. With this order, Embraer strengthens its relationship with the local Czech aerospace industry, which has been known for decades for its expertise and product quality,” said Bosco Da Costa Junior, President and CEO of Embraer Defense & Security. https://militaeraktuell.at/jaegerbataillon-wien-2-uebung-laubfeuer24/ Part of the package is a comprehensive industry participation program (-> details).
