Empl announces the delivery of three extinguishing container systems to the army. The systems can be picked up by MAN SX 32.440 8×8 and MAN TGS 35.440 8×6 vehicles with Scorpion hook tackle.
According to Empl, the vehicles can also be temporarily equipped with a mountable ground spray bar if required. The extinguishing containers therefore have an 8,000-liter water tank, a 200-liter foam tank and a 4,000-meter built-in pump, which can also be operated when the vehicle is parked using a diesel unit.
The extinguishing container systems can be loaded by rail and air and have a fully retractable 4,000 mm roof monitor. A built-in heating system guarantees that the systems can be kept ready outdoors at temperatures as low as minus 25 degrees. The equipment includes hand-held floodlights, a thermal imaging camera, breathing apparatus, submersible pumps, pressure hoses, power generators, distributors, hollow jet pipes, a medical backpack and a chainsaw.
Empl also recently announced the delivery of six transport platforms on Mercedes Benz Zetros NGZ 1836 4×4 for an unspecified customer in Africa. According to the Tyrolean company, the vehicles have a torsion-free platform body with a lowerable tarpaulin frame and fold-down side seat benches on the side walls.
