News from EmplThe Tyrolean family-owned company has announced the delivery of several vehicles to international military customers in recent days: Two EH/W 200 heavy-duty recovery & towing vehicles are going to an unspecified customer in the Middle East and a total of 17 torsion-free flatbeds on Mercedes-Benz Arocs to a customer in Asia.
According to Empl, the flatbeds have folding lashing rings in the floor and are suitable for 10-foot standard containers with 4 twist locks and hydraulic 10-ton frame winches. The flatbeds were built on Mercedes Benz Arocs 2936 6×6, and a tire pressure regulation system is also installed.
The two identical EH/W 200 heavy-duty recovery & towing vehicles are based on 44 M (HX2 41.545) 8×8 from Rheinmetall MAN . Two 20-ton winches were mounted on the main arm. In addition, the vehicles have a 12-tonne self-recovery winch with forward pull and the continuous stainless steel storage compartments have doors and flaps, pull-outs, rotating walls and double keyhole rails for adjustable storage compartments as well as storage compartments that can be swung out 180 degrees. https://militaeraktuell.at/die-oesterreicher-auf-der-enforce-tac-2024/ The towing accessories include towing goggles, tow bars, deflection rollers, lifting forks, trailer coupling, shackles, chains and Stanag eye adapters. The Operator Safety System OSS with visual display of driving safety at the control stand and a reversing video system are installed for safety. As recently as January, Empl also announced the delivery of MUVfunctional vehicles to the Austrian Armed Forces.
