As Defenture announced, the Dutch manufacturer recently signed a contract with the Austrian Ministry of Defense for the delivery of a batch of GRF (Ground Force) vehicles. Defenture is working together with the Austrian vehicle bodybuilder Achleitner on the air-transportable platform (MOTS) as a replacement for the Puch G 290/LP Sandviper for the Jagdkommando.
The GRF scores with high maneuverability, speed, traction and payload and, thanks to the special 4-wheel steering, a turning circle almost at standstill. Added to this is the high ground clearance for extreme off-road mobility and the high flexibility of the GRF platform, thanks to which the vehicles can be tailored to the very specific operational needs of the hunting command. https://militaeraktuell.at/neuer-all-round-plattentraeger-von-lindnerhof/ Deliveries of the vehicles are scheduled to begin in 2024 and, as Defenture announced, the company is cooperating with Achleitner as part of a strategic partnership. The Tyrolean vehicle body builder will carry out lifetime maintenance and service support on behalf of and in cooperation with Defenture. The two companies are also joining forces with regard to system integration and further configuration development. Henk van der Scheer, CEO of Defenture: “We are proud to be working with the Austrian Ministry of Defense and the special forces of the Armed Forces to ensure the highest level of military mobility and security. Once again, the GRF is recognized as a reference in the field of light tactical vehicles. The strategic partnership with Achleitner is a great example of how we work with international partners to create a win-win situation for everyone involved.”
