Dynamit Nobel Defence received an order for several delivery lots of RGW90 HEAT/HESH shortly before the turn of the year. The contract, worth around 19 million euros, also includes training ammunition for RGW90 sub-caliber trainer systems.

The order was placed as a call-off of a framework contract recently concluded between DND and NATO via the NATO procurement agency NSPA, and is intended to cover future requirements of the Belgian armed forces for shoulder-launched multipurpose weapons. In a statement, Dynamit Nobel Defence said it was “delighted to have been awarded the contract and proud to remain a partner of the Belgian armed forces in the field of shoulder-launched weapons”. DND continues: “The RGW90 HEAT/HESH systems ordered and the quantities of training ammunition for sub-caliber systems to be supplied will contribute to maintaining our customer’s infantry operational capability for many years to come. The chosen procurement route via the NSPA is of course also open to other allied armed forces who wish to benefit from the synergy effects of this form of procurement cooperation.” The RGW90 HEAT/HESH is an anti-tank and multi-purpose version of the RGW90 series. With high penetration performance against armored vehicles and multi-purpose capability against structural and unarmored targets, it is a real “multi-tool” in shoulder-launched armament and is used by numerous European and international armed forces.
