Recently, the Czech Republic has signed BAE Systems to purchase 246 CV 90 infantry fighting vehicles, and Slovakia had already opted for the same model at the end of 2022. For this Saab has now been commissioned by BAE Systems Hägglunds to supply sighting and fire control systems.
“We look forward to delivering our proven sighting and fire control systems for the CV 90. This will enable the user to achieve precise target acquisition regardless of the vehicle’s movements,” says Carl-Johan Bergholm, Head of Saab’s Surveillance business unit.
The contract is worth around 77 million euros and delivery of the systems is scheduled to begin this year and be completed in 2029. The work will be carried out in Sweden and Slovakia.
