The Wiener Neustadt-based company Airborne Technologies (ABT) is starting the new year with good news: ABT was recently able to land contracts for the sensor/operator upgrade of current helicopters of two important Asian federal police forces.
The Royal Thai Police and Indonesia Nasional Polisi aircraft will be modernized with the latest Airborne LINX mission management system. In detail, ABT will equip four Bell-429s of the Royal Thai Police with Wescam MX-10-ElOp gimbals and fully integrated operator workstations. ABT will also deploy a Bell-412 of the Indonesian Federal Police with a SAFRAN Euroflir-410 thermal imaging camera, an ABT operator workstation, Churchill Moving-Map backed with integrated augmented reality and a BLOS-SAT downlink (beyond direct line of sight) from Scotty Satcom. Wolfgang Grumeth, CEO of Airborne-Technologies: “There can be no talk of a standstill in our company, especially in these times we are pleased to have full order books. I would especially like to thank our local partners Asian Aerospace Services and IDS PT Indonesia Defense Services for the perfect cooperation in the run-up to the event!”
