Just recently, the two US companies IronNet and Asterion announced a partnership at the Bahrain International Airshow, and now the first product of the cooperation, the HitchHiker interceptor drone, is already available in Ukraine (-> current news from the Ukraine war) is already in use.

The HitchHiker drone is an extremely fast electric multi-purpose interceptor with a range of up to 195 kilometers, a climb rate of 50 meters per second and a top speed of 450 km/h. IronNet, a company that provides AI-based cyber defense solutions, brings IronDome real-time cyber threat detection to the partnership. IronDome uses artificial intelligence, machine learning and advanced sensor networks to analyze patterns and anomalies in available data sources.

Asterion supplies the Perimaster control system, which fuses data from long-range sensors, and the HitchHiker drone, which is automatically flown by Perimaster and positioned directly behind suspicious targets to visually inspect and disarm them or return to base. A secure data link between HitchHiker and Perimaster enables communication with air traffic control and provides ADS-B functionality.
