Schiebel and Thales were awarded the “Peregrine” Uncrewed Air Systems (UAS) contract by the British Ministry of Defense this spring. The Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) has now been successfully completed, paving the way for deliveries of Camcopter S-100 UAS with powerful sensor technology to protect Royal Navy ships.
During the test phase, Thales and Schiebel demonstrated the required capabilities of their Peregrine system and met all specific requirements. With the granted FAT approval, the Peregrine program can now start with the first deliveries earlier than planned. The technologies integrated into the Camcopter S-100, such as Thales’ I-Master radar, are designed to enhance the Royal Navy’s intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities. In preparation for the product launch, the Royal Navy will soon launch a comprehensive training program for the system’s operators and maintenance personnel. https://militaeraktuell.at/traditionstag-beim-jaegerbataillon-12/ “We are very proud of the progress made on the Peregrine program,” said Hervé Hamy, Vice President ISR Business Line at Thales. “Our relentless commitment to precision engineering and collaboration with Schiebel has resulted in a state-of-the-art solution that will undoubtedly strengthen the UK MoD’s operational capabilities.”
“The advanced features and proven performance of the S-100 ensure that it will fundamentally change the field of unmanned aerial systems and provide the Royal Navy with an invaluable advantage.
