The Combat Support Company and the 2nd Jäger Company of Jäger Battalion 25 (KPE) of the “light” 7th Jäger Brigade have been completing their shooting training at the Allentsteig training area in Lower Austria since the beginning of March.
Shooting with various weapon systems
The Klagenfurt soldiers used both infantry and support weapons such as the anti-tank guided missile 2000 or the heavy grenade launcher. The soldiers of the EU Battlegroup platoon of the 2nd Jäger Company (KPE) were also able to complete the training at the “electric remote-controlled weapon station” on the Dingo 2 all-protection transport vehicle with platoon combat shooting.
Jägerbataillon 25
Jägerbataillon 25 is stationed in the Khevenhüller barracks in Lendorf in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee. Almost all of the soldiers in the battalion are cadre presence soldiers and have a foreign deployment obligation. They are the “rapid reaction force” of the Austrian Armed Forces.
