The massive rainfall over the past few days has caused flooding and chaos in parts of Austria. The entire province of Lower Austria was declared a disaster area today. Following a traffic accident on the B19 in Markersdorf, district of St. Pölten-Land, a Black Hawk from the Federal Army.

According to a recent army statement, the Black Hawk “came to the rescue after two civilian emergency personnel, a police officer and a firefighter, were trapped in the floodwater at the scene of the accident.
