IT security expert Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity has expanded its family of network encryptors in the high-speed range and launched the R&S SITLine ETH-XL, a network encryptor with two 100 Gbit/s full-duplex-capable interfaces. R&S SITLine ETH-XL has now also received security approval up to the VS-NfD, EU-Restricted and NATO-Restricted classification levels from the BSI.

The network encryptor with WAN connection ensures secure communication between different locations and is suitable for use at central interfaces of the critical infrastructure, for data center coupling and as a backbone of large networks – thus enabling R&S SITLine ETH-XL to set up secure networks for public authorities and companies. Users benefit from the two 100 Gbit/s full duplexes on just one height unit, which makes deployment both more energy-efficient and space-saving. The centralized management enables fast installation and automatic certificate changes as well as simple operation. With the approval of R&S SITLine ETH-XL, the entire device family of layer 2 encryptors from Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity is approved by the BSI up to classification levels VS-NfD, EU-Restricted and NATO-Restricted. The devices therefore enable sensitive transmissions and protect emails and documents from being spied on and manipulated during transmission. This makes them particularly suitable for public authorities and institutions, operators of critical infrastructures and companies that require confidentiality protection.
