Milrem Robotics has successfully completed its participation in the US Army Expeditionary Warrior Experiment (AEWE). The event, which took place in February, focused on testing new technologies in realistic operational situations.
In collaboration and partnership with the Dutch Ministry of Defense and at the invitation of the Dutch Department of Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS), Milrem Robotics was able to showcase the capabilities of the weaponized THeMIS Combat Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV). Before and during the event, Milrem Robotics actively collaborated with the RAS unit to improve operational concepts for use in combat formations. Equipped with Milrem’s Intelligent Functions Kits (MIFIK), the UGVs also successfully participated in experiments with autonomous functions in various terrains and environments.
“AEWE showcased the advanced stage of the THeMIS UGV, highlighted its operational readiness and allowed us to gather important user feedback on the system and concepts,” explained Patrick Shepherd, Chief Sales Officer of Milrem Robotics. “Integrated with third-party intelligent functions and payloads such as weapon systems or casualty evacuation systems, the THeMIS is now ready for global deployment,” added Shepherd.
