Every year, Industriemagazin compiles a ranking of the 1,000 most important managers in Austria in collaboration with FAS Research. Over one million data records from the country’s 5,000 largest companies are analyzed for this purpose. This year, Erwin Hameseder (-> Interview with Militär Aktuell), Chairman of Raiffeisen-Holding Niederösterreich-Wien and Militia Commissioner of the Austrian Armed Forcesis once again at the top of the list.
Hameseder has headed Raiffeisen-Holding Niederösterreich-Wien since 2012 and has also been Raiffeisen General Counsel since 2022. In these roles, he represents the interests of the Raiffeisen organization and cooperatives with around two million members and over 60,000 employees. According to Industriemagazin, Hameseder is a “network titan” whose relationship management skills are exceptional. He is driving forward a vision of a Europe that strives for more independence and autonomy.
The other top positions in the ranking also remained unchanged. Michael Strugl, CEO of Verbund, holds second place, followed by Andreas Brandstetter, CEO of UNIQA, and Sabine Herlitschka, CEO of Infineon, in fourth place. Right behind her is Alfred Stern, CEO of OMV.
