With the limited edition “Year of the Horse”, Luminox is launching a new model on the market, the design of which is based on the symbolism of the horse in Chinese culture. The horse traditionally stands for qualities such as endurance, independence and agility. A total of 600 numbered pieces will be produced, combining cultural references with the functional design typical of Luminox.

The dial with a sand-like texture features a discreet horse motif at 7 o’clock. The tried-and-tested Luminox Light Technology (LLT), which provides constant luminosity for many years without an external power source, ensures good readability. The case is made of Carbonox, a lightweight yet durable material. The watch is powered by a Swiss quartz movement and is water-resistant to 100 meters (10 ATM).

In addition to collectors, the model is particularly aimed at wearers who have a connection to the years of the horse – including 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014 and 2026.

According to Luminox CEO Niels Møller, the motif reflects values that also characterize the brand, without losing sight of its functional aspirations. Pierrick Marcoux, Group Product Director, emphasizes that a conscious effort was made to combine meaning and practicality in the design.

The Luminox “Year of the Horse” Limited Edition will be available worldwide from mid-January.
