Glock presented in Smyrna, Georgia, as reported presented its completely redesigned Generation 6 – developed under the motto “The generation engineered for you” and based on feedback from authorities, the military and professional shooters from all over the world. We were there and captured our first impressions in a video.

The Gen6 is a significant further development of the previous models: as can be seen in the video, the ergonomics have been noticeably improved, including a new grip structure, deeper serrations, an extended beavertail and, for the first time, a curved grip crowning. There is also a revised Optic-Ready system, which mounts red dot sights particularly low, as well as a flat trigger, which enables a smoother and more controlled trigger pull. Technical adjustments have also been made – for example with a slimmer and more reliable extractor module.

On the shooting range, the Gen6 looks immediately familiar, but has been optimized in every detail. It sits more comfortably in the hand, allows more precise, fast shot sequences and benefits noticeably from the increased grip created by the undercut on the trigger guard. Even shooters who have previously worked exclusively with open sights will quickly find their way into the new sight picture thanks to the low red dot mount.

Overall, the Gen6 presents itself as a perfectly tuned Glock from the factory that raises its performance level without compromise – an update that benefits both professionals and beginners.
