The new Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV) from GM Defense LLC, a subsidiary of General Motors, has completed several days of summer testing with the armed forces of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The vehicles were tested to ensure that they meet the technical and tactical requirements of the UAE Armed Forces and other countries in the region.

GM Defense’s ISV completed all phases of summer testing, covering nearly 2,000 kilometers over highways, sand dunes, soft sand tracks and rocky sections. The phases, which included continuous driving with maximum payload, were designed to test the vehicle’s capabilities in harsh combat conditions – including extreme climatic conditions and varying terrain. In addition to the mobility tests, there were also maintenance tests, which involved two days of field repair testing and maintenance and recovery assessment. According to a recent press release from the company, the ISV also successfully completed these tests.
