The Eurosam Joint Venture (JV) with its three shareholders MBDA France, MBDA Italy and Thales is developing a new generation of long-range surface-to-air systems based on the ASTER missiles (the SAMP/T NG ground system, the successor to the PAAMS & LRR naval system and the ASTER B1NT missile). The new management team consists of Anne Diaz de Tuesta, Alexis Grenier and Mirko Leonardi.

Anne Diaz de Tuesta, former member of the Board of Directors and Head of Programs of the Joint Undertaking, was appointed Managing Director of Eurosam on 1 September. A graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and ENSAE (Supaero), she has held a number of operational management positions at the DGA (French Defense Procurement Agency), the Directorate of Strategic Defense (now DGRIS – Directorate General for International Relations and Strategy), the Directorate General for Enterprise in Bercy and MBDA. https://militaeraktuell.at/start-ziel-sieg-bei-der-heeresmeisterschaft/ Alexis Grenier also took up his post as Eurosam’s new Administrative Director and Commercial Director on 1 August. A graduate of Ecole Centrale, he has gained extensive experience in the defense industry during his career. He joined the Thales Group in 2006 and was previously CEO of MOSS. Finally, Mirko Leonardi was appointed Administrator and Program Manager on September 1. He previously worked at Eurosam JV as Head of Customer Support and Services. After graduating from the Italian Accademia Navale, he worked in operational units and then in the Italian defense staffs before joining MBDA Italy in 2020. According to a recent press release, Eurosam’s new management team will be tasked with “fulfilling all naval and land programmes contracted with the Organization for Joint Armament Cooperation (OCCAR)” in order to deliver the surface-to-air defence systems to the French, Italian and British armed forces.
