Elbit Systems will equip and supply the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Artillery Corps with the small tactical unmanned aerial system Skylark 1 eVTOL (Transitional Vertical Take-Off and Landing Small Tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems) and at the same time take over the maintenance of all STUAS systems of the IDF ground forces (Skylark 1 and Skylark 3).

The new Skylark 1 eVTOL weighs up to 20 kilograms and is a ground or vehicle-operated platform that offers the endurance and range of a fixed-wing STUAS and has the ability to hover, take off and land vertically. Combined with on-board analytical capabilities, the Skylark 1 eVTOL expands the operational capabilities of tactical forces and enables rapid deployment for Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) missions. Under the contract, Elbit Systems will replace the Skylark 1 with the new system, which will be integrated into the current fleet of IDF ground forces.
