The Czech aircraft manufacturer Aero Vodochody and Draken have signed an agreement on long-term cooperation for the L-159 aircraft. Among other things, the companies will develop and implement a special maintenance and support program for Draken’s L-159 fleet.
The aircraft are used to train fighter pilots for the Royal Air Force and the United States Air Force. Draken operates a total of 23 Alcas as aggressor aircraft, providing training services to elite fighter pilots in many NATO air forces. At its facilities in the UK, eight Aero L-159s are operated alongside Dassault Falcon 20 aircraft to conduct operational readiness exercises that include electronic attack support and training. https://militaeraktuell.at/neue-investitionen-in-die-ab212-helis-geplant/ “The Aero L-159s are a key component of our fleet, flying daily missions in an aggressor role against Royal Air Force F-35s, Eurofighter Typhoons and other platforms,” describes Richard Stoate, Vice President Commercial and Supply Chain at Draken. “By working closely with Aero, we will continue to meet the safety, performance and availability requirements of our current and future customers.”
