Connecting Case has already made a name for itself with connectivity solutions for construction sites. Now, with its newly developed portable network system ConnectingCase.5G2GO, the medium-sized company from southern Germany is offering the option of literally taking the Internet with you anywhere in the world – which also makes the system interesting for authorities and armed forces.

At this year’s AFCEA exhibition in Bonn, 5G2GO was exhibited together with other innovations relevant to the armed forces.

Whether on construction sites, in industry, for security authorities, emergency services or the armed forces, there are countless situations every day in a wide variety of sectors and institutions where internet is needed where it is normally not available: on construction sites, far away from the WLAN of the construction container castle or as part of foreign deployments outside their own bases. Connecting Case has developed the 5G2GO as a smartly designed, portable 5G/4G network system for precisely these situations and presented it for the first time at the AFCEA trade exhibition in Bonn. According to the two managing directors Enis Coskun and Andrea Coskun-Goy, the system is currently being “manufactured to order”. During a test and measurement tour through Europe, they tested the 5G2GO in a wide variety of locations: In the mountains, in remote harbors and other places in nature in various countries. Everywhere, the system was immediately able to connect to the internet with a sufficiently strong signal. The system is housed in a robust, dirt-resistant and waterproof hard-shell case with IP67 certification and is tested in accordance with military standards STANAG 4280 and DEF-STAN 81-41. The case can be converted into a shoulder bag or rucksack in just a few simple steps for easy and convenient transportation. Depending on the intended use, it is available in yellow, black or green. https://militaeraktuell.at/oesterreich-staerkt-seine-luftverteidigung-nachhaltig/ A powerful 4×4 MiMo 4G/5G receiving antenna is integrated in the lid of this case, which also captures weak signals. At the heart of the 5G2GO is a robust R1900 5G router from Cradlepoint, which offers a modem with 5G / Cat 20 LTE as well as 802.11 WIFI 6, various wireless and Ethernet network options, Bluetooth and GPS positioning. The operating temperature of the system ranges from minus 30 degrees to plus 70 degrees. The router is IP64 certified and has been specially developed for robust use in extreme environments. The system is powered by a 12V LiFePo4 23 Ah battery, which has a runtime of eight to 14 hours. The system can be recharged within a few hours using the adapter supplied.

During a test tour through Europe in the summer of 2023, it was immediately possible to access the Internet at every location tested.

The system is very easy to operate in all situations, simply press the power button to switch it on. The system voltage and remaining capacity can always be read off the display. 5G2GO offers the user maximum flexibility and can be used worldwide with its own mobile phone card, so that the network can be selected individually depending on the location. Anyone using the system has the option of booking managed service with hotline via annual license contracts or can manage the system themselves remotely via the NetCloud service.
