Celia Pelaz will resign as a member of the Management Board of Hensoldt AG at the end of August 31 and will leave the company. According to a press release issued by the company a few days ago, “the Supervisory Board of Hensoldt and Celia Pelaz have reached an agreement by mutual consent”.
Celia Pelaz has been a member of the Management Board since July 1, 2021, initially as Chief Strategy Officer and since April 1 of this year as Chief Operating Officer. “The Supervisory Board would like to thank Celia Pelaz for her great services to Hensoldt and for her many years of successful commitment to the company. Ms. Pelaz played a key role in the carve-out of Hensoldt from the Airbus Group and the successful IPO in 2020. By heading the Spectrum Dominance and Airborne Solutions division, she laid the foundation for the company’s further development into a systems and solutions provider and played a key role in shaping its strategic direction. We wish her all the best for her professional and personal future and continued success,” said Reiner Winkler, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Hensoldt.
Celia Pelaz herself also had her say in the press release: “Since Hensoldt was founded in 2017, we have achieved a great deal together and I am very proud of our important contribution to the defense of freedom and democracy. I would like to thank the Supervisory Board, my colleagues on the Management Board and my teams for this. I wish the company, the Supervisory Board, my colleagues on the Management Board and all employees good luck and all the best for the future development of Hensoldt AG.”
