Saab has received an order from the Australian Ministry of Defense for the delivery of additional Carl-Gustaf M4 weapons. The order is worth around 34 million euros and deliveries will take place between 2024 and 2025.

“With this order, Saab continues its long-standing cooperation with the Australian Armed Forces. We are proud to deliver modern and user-oriented weapon systems that enable the Australian Armed Forces to meet a wide range of challenges on the battlefield,” says Görgen Johansson, Head of Saab’s Dynamics business area. The Carl Gustaf system has already proven itself many times on the battlefield and is supplied by Saab to more than 40 countries. Thanks to the wide range of ammunition types, it can be used to solve a wide variety of operational realities – from destroying an armored vehicle or structure to illuminating the battlefield during night operations. Saab will deliver the system to Australia with its new FCD 558 fire control device.
