Antonio Bueno is the new President of General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS) and succeeds Alfonso Ramonet, who has retired.
Ramonet joined GDELS Santa Bárbara Sistemas in 1990, was appointed Managing Director of the company in 2006 and was promoted to Chief Operations Officer of GDELS in 2010. Since December 2011, Ramonet has served as President of GDELS and Vice President of General Dynamics. Under his leadership, a number of locations were integrated into the Group and he also expanded GDELS’ international presence. “Antonio Bueno and I have been working together since 2005. He is a highly qualified professional who knows the GDELS organization very well and has earned its full respect,” said Ramonet. “With the support of the GDELS team, he will do an excellent job and continue to serve our customers and all stakeholders.” Bueno has been Vice President of Finance, Information Technology and Chief Financial Officer of GDELS since June 2019, having previously served as Vice President of Armored Vehicles and Artillery and General Manager of GDELS Santa Bárbara Sistemas. He holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Oviedo and completed the Executive Development Program at the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago. “I thank Alfonso Ramonet for his vision and leadership and look forward to seizing new opportunities with our outstanding GDELS team,” said Bueno. “Together, we will continue to strengthen our unique position as a transatlantic partner in Europe by reliably and convincingly supporting our customers and partners with ever more innovative military mobility solutions.”
