“Airpower 2022”, Europe’s largest airshow, was planned down to the smallest detail for over a year from early summer 2021. “In military terms, the event was not just the largest exercise of the Austrian Armed Forces in 2022, but a real operation. What has to work immediately and right away at every ‘Airpower’ is the cooperation with the international military aviation guests – be it flying into Zeltweg, supplying the foreign participants, practising the displays, adhering to common flight safety rules, perfectly functioning cooperation between the air ground services or working together under high time pressure on the two days of the event. I would like to thank all my employees and am proud of our team effort, which has now also been recognized as a nominee for the Austrian Event Award as one of the best sporting events of 2022 after receiving the Paul Bowen Award of Achievement as the best international airshow of 2022,” says Brigadier Wolfgang Prieler, Project Manager of “Airpower”.
