With the integration of EO/IR camera systems from Controp into the C4I drone detection and drone defense system Elysion, the German company ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH is expanding the performance spectrum of its modular C-UAS systems for military and police customers.
ESG and Controp recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in the further development of C-UAS solutions. According to the ESG statement, the continuous integration of modern sensor and effector technologies is “elementary for a sustainably successful detection and defense against uncooperative drones”. An important capability here is improving the verification of detected threats. Improved algorithms of ESG’s C-UAS core intelligence Elysion enable an ever higher degree of automation and optimize the tried-and-tested mission system, which ensures the interoperability of multiple systems in complex scenarios. https://militaeraktuell.at/wir-steigern-die-human-performance/ With the EO/IR camera systems from Controp integrated in Elysion, ESG can offer a very robust, field-proven and reliable sensor at an attractive ratio of size, weight, performance (SWaP) and cost. As a result, customers benefit from a significant expansion of the C-UAS performance portfolio in the field of camera systems, especially for day and night applications, long distances or on-the-move (OTM) applications. In order to drive forward the joint development of robust C-UAS sensors and effectors, ESG intends to work closely with Controp and other competent companies in addition to its established partner network.
