On November 13, the new podcast “SportRapport” of the Austrian Armed Forces. Andreas Onea, Paralympic swimmer and army athlete, moderates the interviews with the Austrian Armed Forces’ top athletes.

With this new talk format, the Army Sports Center presents its competitive athletes. The new podcast series allows listeners to immerse themselves in the world of sports and athletes. There will be new episodes every 14 days; “SportRapport” can be found on all popular podcast platforms. To mark the launch of the new Bundesheer format, Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner visited the recording studio together with the newly crowned “Sportswoman of the Year 2020”, Corporal Ivona Dadic. Our podcast covers the entire spectrum and performance of Austrian military sport and gives listeners a deeper insight into the life of an athlete. Especially in times of Corona, while so many of us have to be at home, you can take advantage of the new offer in sports. Believe me, it will be very interesting, sometimes exciting and often humorous!” Army athlete Ivona Dadic, who was named “Sportswoman of the Year” on Tuesday (Militär Aktuell reported), was already in the studio the next day for recordings. For the current episode of “SportRapport”, the sportswoman answered the presenter’s questions and provided deep insights into the world of athletics: “I’m delighted to have been voted Sportswoman of the Year in view of the large number and achievements of the other qualifiers. It also shows how diverse Austrian competitive sport is. That’s exactly why this podcast is so important, because it can illustrate this diversity,” says Dadic.
