“We are honored that Indonesia has selected the Airbus H145 for the country’s new training fleet. We are confident that the highly versatile platform will make a positive contribution to improving the training of military pilots and at the same time be an important enabler for conducting search and rescue missions. With PTDI as a reliable partner, we look forward to working together to support the Indonesian fleet,” said Vincent Dubrule, Head of Asia-Pacific at Airbus Helicopters. PTDI first received a license from Airbus to build a helicopter – the NBO-105 – back in 1976. The two parties have been in partnership ever since, and in 2008 PTDI became one of the main suppliers for the rear fuselage and main airframe of the Airbus H225, which was also produced entirely in Indonesia until 2011. Recently, the companies deepened cooperation to explore the development of aerostructure production for the manufacturer’s helicopter platform, helicopter completion and the improvement of local maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities. https://militaeraktuell.at/thomas-unger-airborne-technologies-interview/ The Helionix digital avionics system includes a powerful 4-axis autopilot.
