The Swedish Defense Procurement Agency (FMV) has, on behalf of the Swedish armed forces ordered a further 22 emergency vehicles – both rescue and fire-fighting vehicles. These will help to further strengthen the air force’s current capabilities.

For this order, FMV is using options from an existing procurement contract for fire and rescue vehicles. The order comprises vehicles including associated options such as self-protection sprinklers and roof-mounted thermal imaging cameras. The first delivery to the air force is scheduled for 2027.

Most recently, another modernization programme was also initiated within the Swedish armed forces. FMV signed a pre-planning contract with H-B Utveckling AB to begin the process of the service life extension of all variants of the CV90 combat vehicle. combat vehicle.
