Eska presented the new combat gloves at the Enforce Tac 2024 (-> here you can find the collection). The Vader tactical glove has been in constant use in the editorial office of Militär Aktuell’s Ranger magazine for four months now for a wide variety of tasks. Here are some details about the universal genius.

The Vader tactical glove was also with us at the Survival Rally 2024as well as on our trip “3 days + 2 nights = 1 adventure”, which you can read about in the second issue of Ranger Magazine from mid-December (-> click here for the subscription). Apart from that, it is used two to three times a week for tougher jobs in the bush at home and is also used at the shooting range. So it covers a wide range of tasks, which is possible thanks to the high quality of workmanship and fine details in the right places.

In all its glory: the Vader tactical glove from Eska.

The flexible 3D protectors on the insert glove Vader from Eska are noticeable even from a distance. They move with every bend of the fingers and knuckles, and when the hand is stretched out, the protection still slides over the middle and ring finger joints, as does the upper plate on the back of the hand. A very good detailed solution that has already proven itself many times over.

Working on the touchscreen is no problem thanks to Amara synthetic leather and, despite the wider fingertips, writing on the computer is also possible – as these lines prove. The synthetic leather layer inspires confidence, especially as it is extended around the thumb and index finger and over the fingertips. Rough tree trunks, heavy tools and hot metal can be gripped with much more confidence. Grippy silicone patterns on the palm and the base of the fingers provide additional grip without getting in the way.

In the standard test procedures, the Vader It performs well in terms of abrasion, cut and tear resistance as well as impact and contact heat. It is therefore cut-resistant, but some thorns do find their way through the spandex fabric – if they don’t get stuck in the protectors anyway.

Loading NATO calibers and manipulating the weapon went smoothly during the test. The extra fold on the index finger prevents the glove from starting to pull when the trigger is pulled.

The entry and exit is a little tight at first, but the pulse protection can withstand the rough pulling on the material. You can be quite rough with the gloves. The large metal ring with leather reinforcement for hanging up the gloves and the Velcro fastener, which does not cause any unnecessary creases, are also very pleasing.

Ranger’s conclusion: The glove can do a lot and – measured against the wide range of tasks it has to endure – it performs for a long time. So far, the Ranger long-term test has not revealed any signs of fatigue or defects in the Vader tactical glove that could affect its functionality or protection. We are delighted.
