As part of the IDET arms fair in Brno Lockheed Martin and the Czech company Vrgineers discussed at the end of May the Czech Republic’s purchase of F-35 fighter jets signed an industrial cooperation agreement.
This is not the first collaboration between the two companies. A few years ago, Lockheed Martin was one of the first companies in the military industry to test Vrgineers’ next-generation virtual and mixed reality headsets for professional pilot training. Since then, Vrgineers has fully integrated its technologies into Lockheed Martin’s simulation software.
The Czech company said: “This latest cooperation agreement reflects the mutual respect and ongoing commitment to progress and innovation.”
Vrgineers is one of several Czech companies to receive funding for the development or manufacture of various parts, systems and equipment as part of industrial cooperation with Lockheed Martin. At IDET, Lockheed Martin also signed cooperation agreements with Aero Vodochody and VZLU Aerospace.
These cooperation agreements are intended to support the technological progress of Czech industry and the military as the Czech Air Force transitions to 5th generation fighter aircraft, according to reports.
