Russia and China have already experimented with electric quadrupeds, and now the US Marine Corps has also tested this possibility. Unlike the Russians with an anti-tank weapon and the Chinese with an assault rifle, the Americans have equipped the “Robotic Goat”, as they call it, with an M72AS missile launcher.
The recoilless training anti-tank weapon with a caliber of 21 millimeters inherited the bazooka as the primary anti-tank weapon in 1963, but is now itself considered obsolete. Its successor is the AT4 with an 84-millimeter calibre. The missile launcher could be fired without any problems during the test. The “Robotic Goat” was fitted with a GoPro for target acquisition, as well as additional cameras and aiming lasers. You can see exactly how it works in the video.
