The French company Unseenlabs – active in the field of maritime surveillance by detecting and geolocating high-frequency signals from space – has announced the closing of an 85 million euro financing round. Among others, Supernova Invest, ISALT through its Strategic Transition Fund and UNEXO participated in this financing round.

The two brothers and founders of Unseenlabs, Clément Galic and Jonathan Galic, commented on the completed financing round: “After our previous financing rounds in 2018 and 2021, we are proud to announce this new financing round of 85 million euros. Unseenlabs has raised a total of 120 million euros in funding since its inception. The year 2023 thus represents a turning point for us, underlining the relevance of our business model and the attractiveness of our offering to the market. This funding will allow us to accelerate our growth, in particular by developing new solutions and strengthening our presence in the private sector.” https://militaeraktuell.at/oesterreichs-embraer-c-390m-fliegen-nachhaltiger/ Founded in 2015, the company monitors maritime traffic by detecting radio frequency signals emitted by ships, enabling precise geolocation of ships from space. Unseenlabs works with dozens of customers around the world and deals with topics such as: Securing sea areas, protecting the seabed, tracking ships and combating piracy. To date, the Unseenlabs constellation consists of eleven satellites in orbit at an altitude of 500 to 600 kilometers. The company plans to install a further ten satellites by the end of 2025 in order to improve the performance of the constellation, for example the data transmission time for its customers. Two new satellites, BRO-12 and BRO-13, will be added to the system in March. These satellites will be launched on board a SpaceX Falcon 9 as part of the Transporter 10 mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base (USA).
