The Mach Loop in Wales is a paradise for plane spotters. Also known as Machynlleth Loop or CAD West, the area to the east of Barmouth is part of Low Flying Area 7 (LFA7) and is regularly used by the Royal Air Force (RAF) and the US Air Force (USAF) aircraft stationed in Lakenheath for low-flying training. For aviation fans, this provides unusually close opportunities to experience military aircraft in action. Regular “guests” of the Mach Loop include Tornaods and Typhoons of the RAF as well as F-15s and MC130s of the USAF. The region is also frequently visited by Airbus A400M, C130, Puma, Chinook, V22 Osprey and Hawk aircraft. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2EG4xoqZbc&feature=youtu.be&fbclid=IwAR1uZNe6UQwc62DWqIA768udPb_FB9KbAX9ww2ymfOo9QPZUmyCUL7ifw-M
