How the Hensoldt AG announced a few days ago, the Managing Director of the Hensoldt subsidiary ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH, Dietmar Thelen, has added two new members to the Management Board. Thomas Freiheit will focus on promoting efficient financial structures, processes and tools, while his future colleague Alan Carson takes over Operational Excellence & Business Transformation. These three men will form ESG’s management team in future.
“Alan Carson and Thomas Freiheit have been part of the ESG management team for many years, which, together with the former Hensoldt Spectrum Dominance and Airborne Solutions divisions, forms the nucleus of Hensoldt’s new Multi-Domain Solutions Division,” explained Hensoldt CEO Oliver Dörre. “With their outstanding expertise and in-depth experience, they will provide excellent support for the successful further development of the division as an important driver for the implementation of the Group-wide ‘North Star’ strategy.”
In addition to his responsibilities as a further Managing Director of ESG, Thomas Freiheit will also retain his current role as Head of Finance and Controlling at Hensoldt’s Multi-Domain Solutions division. With his aforementioned focus, he will support Dietmar Thelen in assuming overall responsibility for ESG in the future. The new management structure reflects the clear focus on the development of cutting-edge technology for Software Defined Defense, on the provision of solutions and products for the Bundeswehr and allied armed forces as well as on sustainable, profitable growth, according to Hensoldt AG.
Dörre continued: “I am very much looking forward to the even more intensive collaboration and wish the entire management team, headed by Dietmar Thelen, continued success for the challenging tasks ahead.”
