Thales delivers eight Reality H Full Flight Simulators to Airbus Helicopters for the training of Bundeswehr– and NATO pilots on the Airbus H145M multi-role helicopters as part of the LKH (Light Combat Helicopter) program. The contract also includes comprehensive support services for the next three years and follows on from an contract between Airbus Helicopters and the German Armed Forces for the delivery of up to 82 H145M multi-role helicopters.
The Reality H architecture is designed in accordance with the D standards of the aviation authorities. It provides an immersive training environment with many mission scenarios, visual scenes and advanced AI-driven computer-generated forces (CGF), which will also be installed in the Bundeswehr’s NH90 MR1 FFS at the International Helicopter Training Center (IHTC) in Bückeburg, Germany, to provide pilots with training under the most realistic conditions possible. https://militaeraktuell.at/hubschrauberpiloten-trainieren-flugmanoever/ To support the Bundeswehr’s pilot training programs, the simulators, which will replace the old EC135 FFS simulators, will also feature advanced briefing and debriefing capabilities. Yannick Assouad, Executive-Vice President, Avionics, Thales said: “We are delighted to sign this important contract with Airbus Helicopters to equip the Bundeswehr with eight Thales Reality H Full Flight Simulators.
