The Swedish Armed Forces have commissioned the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV) to procure 94 additional Patria 6×6 armored vehicles, known in Sweden as the Pansarterrängbil 300. This order includes variants for troop transport, command and control (C2) and medical evacuation (Medevac). The vehicles will be supplied by Patria, with Swedish industry playing a major role. The total value of the order is around 140 million euros.

“Sweden’s decision to procure an additional batch of Patria 6×6 vehicles is a clear sign of the trust and joint strength of the Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) program, which further strengthens interoperability and security of supply between the allied nations,” said Mats Warstedt, Vice President of Market Area Nordics at Patria.

In the year 2024, FMV already ordered 321 vehicles of the of the Pansarterrängbil 300 type. With this additional order, a total of 415 vehicles will be delivered to the Swedish armed forces between 2025 and 2030. The order was placed as part of the multinational CAVS cooperation led by Finland, which includes Sweden, Latvia, Denmark, Germany, Norway and the United Kingdom.

Patria is leading the development of the 6×6 armored vehicle system as prime contractor under the CAVS program. The majority of vehicle deliveries are made using the local industrial capacities of the member countries, with each country strengthening the security of supply for the entire cooperation system. Patria has already received orders for over 1,000 Patria 6×6 vehicles and has delivered more than 250 vehicles under the program. The CAVS program remains open to countries with similar equipment requirements upon mutual agreement of the participating countries.
