Saab has received an order for 22 additional combat boats from the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV). The order is worth around 80 million euros. Already Sweden had already ordered ten boats in June 2024.
The combat boats can be used flexibly for a variety of missions – from patrols and rapid troop deployments to special operations. They will be manufactured at Saab’s shipyard in Docksta, with deliveries taking place over the coming years.
“This order represents a significant strengthening of Sweden’s naval capabilities. We are proud that our combat boats continue to contribute to Sweden’s defense,” says Mats Wicksell, Head of Saab’s Kockums business area.
