The Austrian gun manufacturer Glock can look forward to new orders from Greece and the Czech Republic, and a rifle should soon complete the portfolio.

After a two-year selection process, the Greek police have chosen the G45 MOS AMS Gen5 from Glock as their new service pistol. The company has adapted its G45 (see image) with its Safe Action System, an ambidextrous safety lever and a mounting plate for a red dot sight (Modular Optic System), among other things. Glock has thus prevailed in competition with Beretta (with the APX RDO). Arex (Delta Gen2) had already been eliminated earlier. The company was also able to land a new order in the Czech Republic: The Ministry of Defense in Prague has ordered new Glock 17 Gen. 5 for around 320,000 euros. https://militaeraktuell.at/rukapol-beschuht-ab-sofort-das-bundesheer/ According to a report by Spartanat, Glock is also about to present its first rifle. According to the report, the company has registered its GR-115, which was leaked as an applicant in a British tender, with the BMI as a civilian semi-automatic rifle. “The name of the weapon with AR15 system – we know the system because there are patents and an AR15 can be seen in the British tender that bears the Glock markings and the designation GR-115F – is civilian without the F and reads: GR-115,” writes Spartanat. And further: “We would deconstruct this as ‘Glock Rifle Model 1 Type AR15’, but that is our interpretation of the name.”
