With the new PD-5, Steambow presents a crossbow that has been specially designed for professional requirements – compact, powerful and with high precision. There are separate versions for the civilian and government markets.
The Steambow PD-5 is a compact pistol crossbow with the effect of a full-size repeating crossbow. The Austrian company offers a civilian and an official variant. The differences:
Two versions – two application profiles
The PD-5 Professional serves as a means of defense, deployment and training. It is particularly robust, easy to handle and, thanks to the included 135 lbs high-performance bow, as well as hunting tips and arrows in a larger caliber, extremely effective – both at long and short range. The official version can also be used when cocked thanks to the robust safety catch. This version also features a tilt-adjustable, full-length sight rail, a tritium night sight and several Picatinny rails for accessories. The folding stock allows for a smaller transport size.

The standard version of the Steambow PD-5 is aimed at sporty, ambitious shooters. Equipped with a 90 lbs bow and five training arrows, it is ideal for regular and demanding training.
Proven technology
As with the AR-6 Stinger II Tactical, the PD-5 also uses the patented bend cocking system. This allows even strong bows to be tensioned with comparatively little effort – ideal for fast shot sequences and precise handling, even under stress. According to Steambow, the PD-5 is one of their most precise crossbows.

With its robust construction and a weight of less than two kilograms, it brings further advantages to the sporting and tactical field. The upper of the PD-5 is anodized black for greater durability. All parts have a low-reflexion coating or are made of black plastic.
