Ace Aeronautics has signed an agreement with Sikorsky to become a Sikorsky authorized customer support center for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for the Black Hawk helicopter. This partnership aligns Ace Aeronautics with Sikorsky’s world-class original equipment quality standards.
The company has committed to meeting the stringent requirements to receive certification as an authorized Sikorsky customer support center for the Black Hawk. In addition, Ace Aeronautics will be an authorized reseller of the older UH-60A+ and UH-60L models.
The Austrian Armed Forces has had its nine S-70A-42 Black Hawk helicopters procured in 2002 equipped with state-of-the-art avionics by the US company Ace Aeronautics. Seven aircraft are already back in service in Austria, while the final acceptance of the last two helicopters is currently underway.

In addition, Ace Aeronautics will acquire three former UH-60Ls from the US Army (-> current news about the US armed forces) to the same technical standard and deliver them to Austria. This will increase the Black Hawk squadron in Langenlebarn to a total of twelve helicopters.
Ace Aeronautics, based in Alabama, USA, is part of the Prague-based Helicopter Alliance stock holding company. With its focus on customized solutions, Ace Aeronautics can either adapt older Black Hawk helicopters to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification standards with minor upgrades or equip them with a completely new avionics suite – including the state-of-the-art Garmin G5000H.
Ace Aeronautics has already delivered 15 modernized Black Hawk helicopters and has an order backlog of almost 30 more. The customer base is growing steadily and includes Portugal, Slovakia and Ukraine in addition to Austria.
