“When was the last time you were security-conscious?” has been the introductory question of every podcast conversation since summer 2022. “Security-conscious” is intended to promote constructive social debate on security issues. The podcast on “Safety, Security & Strategy” (including security and geopolitics) brings experts from the military, police, science, technology and civil society to the microphone.
Podcast host Thomas Goiser is a business and PR consultant and is the Vienna representative of the Austrian Center for Intelligence, Propaganda and Security Studies (ACIPSS). His guests this year have included LinkedIn guru Ritchie Pettauer, Bernhard Kadlec from St. Pölten University Hospital, IT security expert Maha Sounble, G4S mastermind Noah Price, political scientist and bestselling author Carlo Masala (-> Military News interview with Carlo Masala) from the University of the Bundeswehr in Munich, lawyer Maria Windhager and chemical weapons expert Günter Povoden from the Austrian Armed Forces. The interview with migration researcher Judith Kohlenberger has also recently been published online.
The individual episodes are aimed at an interested audience and can also be used as teaching material with current relevance. “safety-conscious” is available free of charge on all major podcast platforms and on YouTube.
